CPR Classes

Whether you're a healthcare professional, public service employee, or simply interested in learning CPR, we offer both BLS and Heartsaver CPR/First Aid courses as part of our emergency medical training programs. 

The American Heart Association’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate breaths and ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. The course reflects science and education from the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). It is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

What does this course teach?

- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

- BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival

- Delivering effective breaths or ventilations

- Importance of early use of and how to use an AED

- Performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR

- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants

The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver® portfolio delivers first aid, CPR, AED, and safety training for anyone—at work, school, or home. Whether for job or regulatory requirements, or simply to be prepared, Heartsaver offers:

- Recognized card credentials – Valid for 2 years

- Flexible delivery – Classroom, blended, virtual, or self-guided

- Proven quality – The gold standard in CPR and first aid training

Heartsaver CPR/First Aid offers several options for certification:

- Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED (Heartsaver Total) - For anyone with little or no medical training who needs Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) —compliant first aid and CPR training—or simply wants to be ready for an emergency. Successful completion earns a two-year course completion card.

- Heartsaver® CPR AED - Gain the skills to recognize cardiac arrest, act fast, and provide lifesaving CPR and AED support until help arrives.

- Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED - Build confidence to handle the most common child and infant emergencies, from illness to injury, with skills that bridge the gap until care arrives.

- Heartsaver® First Aid - Learn to recognize emergencies, call for help, and deliver lifesaving care for the most common first aid situations.

- Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED (Heartsaver® Basic) - For anyone with little or no medical training who wants first aid, AED, and CPR training to be prepared to act in an emergency at work, home, or in the community. This course does NOT generally meet workplace or regulatory requirements.
